I moved to Savannah with my partner Mark in 1997. Leaving the cozy confines of Key West we found Savannah and its wildly diverse neighborhoods to be welcoming and intriguing. We were also stunned by the physical beauty of the town – it still seemed something of a hidden jewel – just as it does today.

The process of purchasing my first home and all that it entailed quickly made me aware that real estate was "in my blood," and in 1998, I dove in with both feet and have been a player on the local scene ever since. I have been a top producing agent since I began working in real estate in 1998. I was voted "Best Real Estate Agent" by Connect Savannah in 2005, 2008 and 2010 and have been a long-term member of the Distinguished Sales Society. Recent years have brought some of the most exciting professional growth with me becoming a partner in Keller Williams Realty Savannah Downtown and Keller Williams Coastal Area Partners. I have taken on an amazing assistant, Laura Hyatt, who has been invaluable in helping me to grow my business.

In 2008 I received national recognition by being selected as one of "The Ten Most Dependable Real Estate Professionals of the Eastern United States" by Goldline Research. Perhaps the most noteworthy award I have received in my career, it was published in the December 22, 2008 issue of Forbes Magazine.

It is not awards and accolades that continue to propel me in this industry though. It is the personal interactions with people that continue to drive me. I am thrilled every time I have the opportunity to meet someone new or rekindle a friendship through my profession. In my opinion, PEOPLE are the key to a successful real estate transaction. I am interested in helping someone find the perfect home, not just selling them a house.

I also continue to have something of a love affair with the city of Savannah. Everything about this city captivates me. From the oak-shaded mossy squares of Downtown to the funky "bohemian" vibe of the Starland District to the laid back Low Country attitudes of the Islands and everything in between. The city's multi-faceted character continues to engage me and makes me want to know more about the place I already feel I know so well. My home, Savannah!

In his so-called spare time Don is an avid equestrian and has trained a thoroughbred in dressage for more than four years now. His training partner – always at his side – is his dog Audrey, an adopted hound dog from Ossabaw Island. Don has traveled with Mark extensively. The two, however, always find it easy to "come home" to Savannah.

Keller Williams Realty Coastal Area Partners opened its doors in January 2005.

Keller Williams Realty Savannah Downtown started in January 2007 and opened its office in May 2007 with Don Callahan as one of the partners in ownership. KWRSD is a business center/boutique with 35 experienced agents.
